A licensed electrical contractor who estimates, manages and delivers.
Twenty-three years in the electrical industry, fifteen of them estimating and managing commercial projects, now under one licence in Brisbane.

Our story
Fifteen years pricing projects changes how you build them
Twenty-three years in the electrical industry starts the way most do: on the tools, learning what an installation actually takes rather than what a drawing suggests it takes. Fifteen of those years were spent estimating and managing commercial projects, which is a different education entirely.
Estimating teaches you where jobs go wrong before they go wrong. The scope that was never drawn. The switchboard with no spare capacity. The isolation that could only happen at 2am. The certification nobody allowed time for. Managing those same projects afterwards teaches you the second half: which of those risks were priced honestly and which were simply hoped away.
AMP’D Services Group exists to close the gap between those two jobs. The licensed contractor who prices the work is the one who programmes it, coordinates it and signs the handover pack. Fewer variations, fewer surprises on programme, and a complete file on the day the job closes out.
The same discipline applies to residential work. A homeowner upgrading a switchboard, installing an EV charger or wiring a renovation gets the same written scope, the same licensed workmanship and the same certification, explained in plain English rather than in specification clauses.

The founder
Josh Stanbury
Josh has spent his career across both sides of commercial electrical work: installing it early on, then estimating and project managing packages for commercial builders and facility owners across Brisbane.
Every AMP’D estimate is reviewed and signed off by Josh and his team before it goes out. That is the step most electrical quotes skip, and it is why our numbers account for the access, the isolation and the certification that get missed when a price is put together by someone who has never had to build it.
Once a job is running, the team delivers it and Josh stays across it. He is on site where the work calls for him, and he is the escalation point if anything needs a decision. Nothing goes out the door without a licensed contractor having looked at it.
Every quote is signed off by a licensed electrical contractor. Every job is delivered by a team he is accountable for.
How we work
Four operating principles
01
Scoped before it is priced
Every quote follows an inspection or a proper read of the drawings. Inclusions, exclusions and assumptions are written down, because a number without a scope behind it is a guess that becomes a variation later.
02
Planned, not reactive
Work is booked, sequenced and resourced in advance. Programmes are built backwards from the date that matters, whether that is a handover, a shutdown window or a tenant’s first trading day.
03
One contractor from estimate to handover
The person who prices the job manages it and answers for it. Nothing is lost in the gap between an estimator who has moved on and a crew who never read the tender.
04
Licensed, documented and local
Licensed electrical contracting work, certificates of compliance issued on every job, test records and as-installed documentation supplied as part of the work, from a business you can drive to.
Plainly
What we do not do
Price without scoping
We do not put a number on a job we have not inspected or read the drawings for. Inclusions, exclusions and assumptions are written down, because a price without a scope behind it is a guess that becomes a variation later.
Winning on price alone
We are not the cheapest quote in the pile. Our pricing carries the scope, the documentation and the management time, so the number you approve is the number the job closes out at.
We are not a 24/7 emergency service
We run planned electrical work and scheduled project delivery. If you need someone tonight, we are not the right fit.
Being comfortable saying what the business does not do is deliberate. It is the fastest way for you to work out whether we are the right contractor for the job in front of you.
What clients say
The people who keep calling us back.
Tell us about the job and we will scope it before we price it.
A free site inspection, a written scope and a fully documented quote. You will hear back the same business day.
